Pill Reminder App Reviews

The first time I buy an app without evaluating it first, and wouldnt you know, it has an easily reproducible (OS X 10.8.2) crash: just go to the pill log and try to update a missing value in the "Dose" column by double clicking the associated blank field in the log. This leaves me with the impression that the developer routinely releases updates to the code base without performing even the most superficial of QA checks. Beyond this, a major usability issue for me is that there is no easy way (hint: set scheduled time window to +/- 720 minutes), and perhaps no way, to group unscheduled medications, because the group function is based on times instead of bottes. This makes it impossible, or at least very difficult) to accommodate cases in which two medications may be taken at any time, but must be taken together.

I love the concept. This is the only app ive found for my Mac to help me keep track of the dosages for my child. It was a little difficult to set up but I was willing to go through that since it helped keep track of meds and and let me know when I needed to order more. I only have one complaint about the app but its a major complaint. The app locks up my computer constantly. I have to completely remove it now as its more headache than its worth at this point.

Just installed Pill Minder. Basically, it does what its supposed to, but I was disappointed that it couldnt be set up for more than one person (some people have wives and pets). It doesnt seem that itd be difficult to set this up.

This program is great, however it has a nasty habit of freezing up several times a day. At least its fairly easy to tell when its froze because it wil run your CPU to the max, and the only way to stop the freeze is to stop it in Activity Monitor. But aside from that its a really helpful app.

I love the app...I know it seems so simple to remember to do something so simple...but after using this app two things have happened....I remember to take my pills...BUT THE BIGGIE FOR ME.....I dont take them twice...there were so many days where I took them and them took them again because I cant remember if I took them (there is a pill for that!!!) THANKS FOR MAKING THIS GREAT PROGRAM!!!

I need a reminder for shots every fourth day, and there’s no way to enter something in this app that’s not daily. I could have used it for meds administered 2X daily, since it has a setup for that; However the application disappeared from my iMac one day after I set it up. Waste of time and money.
